HONEY & SESAME SEED SPREAD
"Sweetness of the Holy Land"

Sesame seeds may be the oldest condiment known to man, dating back to as early as 1600 BC.  They are highly valued for their oil which is exceptionally valuable nutritionally.  "Open sesame," reflects the distinguishing feature of the sesame seed pod, which bursts open when it reaches maturity.  That bursting characteristic is truly God's way of telling us that the sesame seed is ready to be harvested.

Throughout BIBLICAL TIMES, the People Of The Land Of Israel subsisted on a diet very different that what we are accustomed to in western civilization.  Travelers took weeks to cross the Land on donkeys, and often traveled throughout the night, resting during the day to stay out of the heat.  A nutritious and tasty sesame seed paste was served to fortify the People against the heat.  Sweet nutritious sesame seed cakes were often packed in travel bags and eaten on the road as well.

Now, combining the sweetness of God's finest honey with the delightful taste of the Land's oldest condiment, Holy Food Imports is pleased to offer Sesame Honey Spread to the public.  As you enjoy its surprising flavor, feel free to imagine the travels of men, women and children as they made their way through the starry nights with nothing but the lights of the sky to guide them and only a donkey to help them bear their load.

Designed Intelligently

God created the sesame seed with an ability to store the potential for life and genetic information to guide its course. Waiting for favorable growth conditions, a tiny seed will hold out against time in its culminating effort to ensure the continuation of the species.

Before mankind even considered the concept of a time capsule, a tiny seed was God's perfection of the concept.

Religious Reference

I tell you the truth, unless a grain of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds.
(John 12:24)

NUTRITION

Sesame seeds have been used for thousands of years. Ancient Hebrews used them as a sustaining food for traveling long distances. They contain more protein than do eggs and are an excellent source of B vitamins and minerals.

They also contain extraordinary quantities of methionine and tryptophan. These special amino acids which promote health are missing from most other vegetable protein sources. They are essential for healthy liver and kidneys.

Sesame seeds have also been shown in medical studies to contain amino-fats which are needed for neural impulse transmission related to memory power. In addition, they are a very good source for vitamin E and fatty acids which improve blood circulation, as well as calcium, potassium, phosphorus, vitamin B and iron. Finally, they contain copper and are a good source of magnesium. Just a quarter-cup of sesame seeds supplies 74.0% of the daily value for copper, 31.6% of the DV for magnesium, and 35.1% of the DV for calcium.

Best of all, they contain No Cholesterol!
